Maintaining certification for the ISO 9001 Quality Management System is not a single event. It’s a series of connected, ongoing audits and reviews to ensure that the organisation and Management System are compliant with the relevant ISO standard. Once implemented the ISO 9001 Quality Management System needs to be audited and the organisation certified. You then enter a rolling, three year cycle to maintain your ISO 9001 certification. The recent audit assessed the documented Management System and implementation verifying that it’s compliant with the ISO standard.
