Job Title: Technical Sales Representative – Hydraulic Components
Location: United Kingdom (Based in Wolverhampton with National Coverage)
Salary: Competitive Base + Commission + Company Car/Allowance + Benefits

Ardel OEM Limited, registered on February 22nd, 2012, imports and distributes hydraulic hoses, fittings, adaptors, and related components.

Based in a 24,000-square-foot warehouse near Wolverhampton’s M6/M54 junction, the company offers next-day UK mainland delivery for orders placed by 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.

With over £1.5 million in stock, Ardel supplies both single items and large stock orders promptly. The business is a major distributor of Bridgestone and Intertraco hydraulic and industrial hoses, 1- & 2-piece hose fittings, ferrules, quick release couplings, and a wide range of other types of related components.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team, specialising in hydraulic components and systems. This is a field-based role covering the UK, focused on developing new business and managing existing accounts within the manufacturing and service sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities across manufacturing and industrial service companies
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
  • Provide technical advice and product recommendations on hydraulic components and systems
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
  • Work closely with internal engineering and support teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs

Requirements

  • Proven track record in technical sales, specifically within hydraulic components or fluid power systems
  • Strong understanding of the UK manufacturing and industrial services sectors
  • Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally

Desirable

  • Engineering background or technical qualification (mechanical, hydraulic, or related field)
  • Existing network of contacts within relevant industries
